seremban camp ((((:
{11:47 AM} hello! fresh and new from seremban! HAAA. it was super fun kaaes. so i'll tell you guys all about it. so. here goes. 1st day monday on monday we all met at keppel railway station to take a train to seremban. and it was really FUN, apart from the fact that it hit a cow that was pooing on the railway track. LOL. so that caused a delay for about 1 hr. poor cow. rest in peace! :( then we had meals on the train like, i bought a tuna sandwich and iced milo from the train canteen. so. yeah. then we reached seremban at around 5pm. there, dr lay welcomed us and brought us to the House of Joy which was SUPER big like 10 acres. he actually treats mental patients and depressed people there, but they had all gone home for the holidays so it was rather empty there. then we went to the place where we were all going to be housed and then got allocated to our beds. after that, we went to have dinner and had the sermon at 8. (2 hours??!!!) 0_0 lol! after which we went to sleep. on our beds, we kept talking and talking and pastor bess had to come in 4 times to tell us off for being so noisy. :3 2nd day tuesday we woke up at 7 and had breakfast, then we had our morning devotion and then started work on pulling weeds and sweeping the floor outside. it was really tough cos the sun was blazing hot, and we had to take breaks under the sun. we also got to know 2 really friendly dogs( there are about 20 there) Golden and Mighty. mighty is the living rug, cos when he lies down, and stretches his legs out, he really looks like those kind of furry rugs. Golden is the mother of charcoal, sparkle and copper, which are really fierce dogs. but Golden is very friendly and nice and she chases after rocks. and Mighty always has a pebble in his mouth. so then we often play with them cos they will follow us around everywhere and always receive pats from us. so. we plucked weeds and scrubbed floors and got really tired. so that night we had the sermon and worship again( i played the clavinova) and this time, Dr lay's message was the longest of ALL the nights. after that, we went to bed and got scolded by pstr bess twice that night for talking too loud again. oh wells. 3rd day wednesday we polished the windows that day. the windows were so BLACK and dusty that all of our fingernails became BLACK too. and we polished the windows till they were sparkling CLEAN. so the same thing happened that day, the sermon, which didn't seem so long, cos Dr lay told us some of his experiences and that was more interesting 4th day thursday we scrubbed the drain that day. that was the toughest job of all and there was so much moss and we scrubbed till our backs and arms ached. poor auntie irene. she got soap powder in her eye once, then fell over the drain covers 3 TIMES. and she slipped on the soapy floor, and finally, sprained her arm. LOL. aiyoh. so clumsy. after that, we ate coconuts which they grew in their garden and then it started to rain. and pastor bess allowed us to get wet, so then we took the coconut shells and collected rain water, before splashing it on each other. so fun! after that, we went to the basketball court to play captain's ball and it was super cold cos of the rain and the wind so i was shivering and got a bit feverish this morning, but i'm fine now. (((: and my team won! YAYY! after that, we went back to the dorm and bathed. that night, we had the sermon about God's love and becoming more lyyk God and at the end he asked who wanted to be prayed for raise up both hands. then God touched me and i raised up both hands and started crying lor. at the end, everyone wanted to be prayed for. many people fell back, and most of the girls started crying like me. it was really a memorable night. after that, patience and mercy, dr lay's twin girls taught us 2 dances which was really fun and enjoyable. that night, it was 2 am when we got to bed, but we talked until like, 3pm before sleeping. 5th day friday we were supposed to wake up at about 6 but we ended up sleeping late. we took breakfast, did morning devotion and then were driven to the train station where we took a train home. i miss camp lots. it was so fun! lol! anyway. there's another youth camp next thursday and all my nice fwens are going so i'm really quite looking forward to it laa. yay. <333 __________________________________________ |
