{9:25 PM} AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH I AM SO CAMP SICK. CHURCH CAMP ROCKED MY SOCKS UNTIL CANNOT ROCK ANYMORE. LOVELOVELOVELOVE. And it's not only me. Join the camp-sick-club everyone! Me, Carita and natalie are already inside. I shall narrate in chronological order. DARLING! I love CC`08 to teenyweeny microscopic bits. Especially my friends! DARLING! Sunday 1/6/08 Arrived in church super early, Cos had to play clavinova for Chinese ministry Then I saw carita there!! Played then chatted with her throughout the sermon. then after that met joanne and carita and jolene downstairs, chatted for a while thn had lunch! at one i set off on the coach Slept a bit and then listened to mp3. We reached there about 5 plus; and then met jialer! and damaris. AND WE WENT TO OUR HOTEL ROOM. fourohthree. IT WAS GIGANORMOUS. I dashed into the room like a cannonball. and plunged into the bed. shouting and screaming. then we went down to the ballroom to find nat and carita! Played monkey with the pink volleyball. then it was dinner and dance night We had to sit in our groups, then me and damaris were in unconditional love!(: AND WE LEARNT THE NANA DANCE, IT WAS SUPER COOL LA and we were super enthu. and we danced like crazy. FUN LA! and played games. Invaded carita and nat's room. then we talked and talked and played truth-or-dare, and cam-whored. and finally fell asleep at one plus. Monday 2/6 we successfully woke up at six fifteen! we had dawn prayer, and prayed for the speaker and the camp. Then it was morning devotion, and we learnt how to truly HEAR from God just by reading the bible. It was super cool la! Then breakfast @ the es.sence kitchen. BREAKFAST WAS LOVED. I love cornflakes. haha. Then we had sermon one at the ballroom. Although there were no balls. Sorry, cold. Our speaker was Pastor Michael Ross Watson. He's really really really, a great great great speaker! He and his wife are so cute and loving la, They call each other 'sweetheart' and 'darling'. So SWEEEET(: I LOST MY CAMP BOOKLET!!!! I'M SAD LA. i think i left it at the hotel. But maybe it'll bless someone who picks it up and reads it, cos i wrote all the notes inside :D I roughly remember he talked about troubles in life. And his experience with cancer. It was really really interesting. Like usually i would tune out after a while in sermons, but his' had me hooked. You can really see God working in pastor michael's life. After session one was lunch, and it was only 2 and a half hours after breakfast. It was okay nonetheless. I love the hotel food. STRAWBERRY MOCHI! CHOCOLATE FONDUE. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. Oh yes, I haven't introduced you to the hotel yet. We stayed at Holiday Inn, Melaka. IT'S SUPER NEW, it only opened in october 2007. PICTURES!  The infinity pool. It stretches out over the sea! :D  The ballroom where we had our sermons in.  The exterior of the hotel(: We were all playing chocolate yu yuan. It's this card game that one youth invented. IT IS EXTREMELY EXCITING. you can get high just playing it. Anyway we played by the poolside at first Then we slam the table until super hard! After lunch we played at the table. Then we realised all the glasses on the table were wobbling precariously. So we decided to change venue. To pastor edwin's room! Isaac Daniel and Ian came too. Pastor edwin had fits! (: HAHA. Like, we were not supposed to slap the cards, then his hands like shaking shaking then SLAP then we all laugh and laugh. Joanne: hualalalalalalala! We all had laughing fits. I have slow reactions. After everyone slapped the cards already, my hand is still up there. But anyway, we had a ball of a time. Captains ball after that! Our group kena thrashed. sadddd): nevermind lah. We played monkey with some small kids. Lol. Joanne threw the ball into the sea, cos the place was right next to the sea. AND UNCLE WEE SENG SWAM OUT TO GET IT. MIND YOU IT'S NOT A BEACH it was like, rocks everywhere at the coast. He is our hero. haha. Then we all screamed for him. Then started cheering. After our bath was dinner, then sermon two. That night Pastor michael talked about being filled with the Holy Spirit and having a worshipful heart. It was really meaningful, and Joanne kelyn me natalie and carita went up for the altar call, I have to admit I cried a lot during this camp. At first I was quite neutral, but when they started the song "Consuming fire" and the part "Stir it up in our hearts Lord", My whole head started shaking uncontrollably, It was as if I was shivering, but i wasn't even cold at all! Then i cried. It's such a wonderful feeling to know that God is in our midst. After the sermon was over, Auntie jane told us that she had been praying and fasting for us to mature spiritually and be on fire for the Lord Jesus, And it somehow came true! I mean, even the guys went up for the altar call. Call it some kind of an achievement yes? And she prayed for me and kelyn. So did jie sharon, and i started crying again when she prayed for me. It was, indescribable. We invaded nat and carita's room again! This time with pamela and michelle. Talked talked and talked. That's what girls do. haha! Slept at one plus again. Tuesday 3/6 I couldn't wake up. And joanne had to scream ESTHER! Then i like, (blur) "huh?" I was so sleepy lah, then i was like nodding off during sermon. IT WASN'T COS IT WAS BORING OKAY it was because of my horrible lack of sleep. Sigh! I was trying so hard to keep awake, but my eyes kept closing. AAAAH After lunch was the AMAZING RACE. Unconditional love got FIRST! YAYYYYYYYYYYY It's like they give us 10 pictures and we have to go around malacca trying to find that place, scene or object and get an exact same shot of the thing. There was this number "155", that actually came from a shopping centre locker sign. LOL! Anyway, we rock:D Dinner was at the ballroom, and sermon 4 after that. It talked about forgiveness, I learnt that what it means to truly forgive someone is to release them from that debt that they owe you, and not to blame them anymore. When we forgive God will then bless us more, and we are the beneficiary when we let that debt go. Pastor michael then asked for people who knew that they had to forgive someone in their life 100%, and at first i didn't go. then somehow (aaaaah) I started crying AGAIN in my seat. OH MY GOODNESS. Then joanne pei-ed me to go in front. and there and then, I released everything to Jesus. Yoho, I'm free now! I thought of all the people that i possibly hold grudges against. And there, I said 'I forgive you 100%'; and I felt so light and carefree. :D That night the guys came over to our room to play chocolate yu yuan and taboo. "What do you wear above your lower body?" "Boxers!" "G-string?" "Raffia-string." "Bra!" (Everyone looks weirdly at Ivian) "Er, I meant er, BRA-ces." (Everyone gives skeptical laugh) "You party?" "Naked." WHAT THE/ (Guys burst out in laughter) They are SICK-MINDED I TELL YOU SICK MINDED. They left after a while, and we went to jialer and kelyn's room. DON'T BE SAD OKAY CARITA Don't look down on yourself! Be happy (: Anyway, I found out some stuff that made me terribly disappointed in someone. Somehow, I wish I didn't hear about it. Then i remembered the sermon. And i'll try to forgive, day by day. Thanks kelyn for all your advice(: And i went to sleep that night with a heavy heart. Jialer and kelyn had a ball of a time that night. Haha, happy rightttttt. 4/6 Wednesday. Devotions in the morning, I was reading the book of Isaiah, some chapter. Then these words, "I have redeemed you" jumped out. The words, "I have set you free" come to my mind too. And i was like, "OOOH!" Anyway I remembered those words. Sermon five, Pastor talked about obedience. To be obedient to God, Because God will only give the Holy Spirit to those who obey Him. Haaaaah. I found toenails in front of our seats. -_- EW! Apparently someone had been picking (or chewing) on their nails during sermons. YUCK I TELL YOU. After sermon five was our free time! We went to Makota shopping centre, and went window shopping. Fun eh. Uncle Cheng Kie treated us to Burger King! So sweet of him, but we paid him back anyway. Went to MPH and some other stores. I didn't buy anything anyway. After that me jialer and kelyn went swimming! I were all so afraid to be seen by some people we know except for our friends. Then we were all like, "AAAH QUICK" I haven't swam in a long long while :D haha! The pool was super cool, Like it was on a rooftop and was overlooking the sea. So we swam to the edge and talked again! Nat and joanne came down to watch us (: Bathed, then had our last dinner at church camp ): That night was Holy Spirit night, and me joanne nat and jasmine were the flag bearers! Had to wave flags. Haha, it was fun though. :D :D Then we all jumped jumped jumped. I LOVE LOVE WORSHIP OKAY. After a bit of sermon, Pastor michael asked those who wished to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to receive the gift of tongues to come forward. Then he prayed for us. It was kinda scary, the way some people responded when the Holy Spirit manifested in them. Some screamed and cried, Others shook uncontrollably, Others were slain. And some broke out in loud tongues. That night i didn't really cry as much as the previous two. But i was praying and praying for the Holy spirit to come upon me. Then I heard people praying in tongues. And then pastor michael said that sometimes we had to take the first step. So I tried too, and I sort of can sort of cannot, nevermind, It'll develop as I grow deeper with Him. That night all the girls came over to our room! And joanne and I had to go and chase for money from CG 1 2 3 to give a token of appreciation to Uncle Cheng kie and auntie jane. HAHA isaac was chao funny. He was in the toilet when we entered his room. Joanne: -Bangs door- Isaac! Isaac: -Sticks head through blinds in window- WHAT! Joanne: Pay money for the lunch today. Isaac: HUH WHY? Joanne: To repay uncle cheng kie la! After some fumbling, a 10 dollar bill eventually pops out from under the door. (HE ACTUALLY BRINGS HIS WALLET INTO THE TOILET?!) At this moment, jerone comes and steals a card which then then turns off the toilet light. Isaac shouts. Isaac opens the door and sticks his head out. "OIIII!!!" Joanne notices he isn't wearing a shirt. Joanne: "EH YOU'RE NOT WEARING A SHIRT?!" Isaac: "Yeah lah yeah lah I'm naked now give me the card back JERONE!" Hilarious. Isaac is seriously comical. After that we went to go and ask Daniel and Josiah for cup noodles. They were nice and gave us (: And even peanut biscuits. Haha! Jialer and kelyn were ironing their bra and panties LIKE AH WHO IRONS THOSE KIND OF THINGS! Then me and mich were joking about how you iron those kind of things. I am not going to elaborate. Although it had us in fits this morning. Then we were joking about how people should ring ____'s doorbell and scratch their butts when he opens it. _____ ah,. haiyo, flirt here flirt there. Tsk tsk tsk. Me and nat fell asleep when they were still playing. Joanne : "I like what?" Everyone : "*****!" Joanne: "NO!!!! IT'S NOT! Piano la!" We all woke up super late the next morning, around eight plus. thursday 5/6 Woke up super late, then had our last breakfast. Thanksgiving after that! I was volunteered to share testimony for our CG. Haiyo. So i dragged joanne along with me. So then I spoke about thanking God and uncle cheng kie and auntie jane for all their love. Auntie jane cried when I thanked her! haha (: Man. Then we had lunch, before finally leaving on the coach. I was super sad on the coach lah. CAMP SICK OKAY I WANNA GO BACK OKAY I love my church clique so much. (In no particular order) Jialer, Kelyn, Carita, Nat, Damaris, Joanne. I love you all so much! I miss you all already, all the laughs and fun we had. And all the conversations. It's like I can share all my xin shi to you all. And you all are so sincere and true to yourselves. Thanks for all the love and hugs and talks! I can't wait for sunday. Honestly, You're the best bunch of friends I have ever had yet. ILY!(: Pam and michelle I love you too. You're so nice to talk to and caring and sweet (: Some people are staying back till tomorrow for leaders' retreat. haha Imy. i FINALLY reached singapore around 7 plus, then came home and talked to joanne nat and carita on the phone. Haha. I'm terribly camp-sick now. Let me go wallow in my memories. haha. I miss the hotel room(: __________________________________________ |
