{7:10 PM} And so I'm in the bottomless pit of thoughts again. I realised, We all'd somehow ponder, Why can't I have her perfection; the voluptuous hair that plummets from the crown of her head to her shoulder-blade, her show-stopping physique, or her divine eyes; a bottomless sea of beauty. Why can't I ace every test like she does without even pausing to think. Why is it that nothing that I accomplish is never, the peak. Perfectionism, perhaps. Let's admit it. We all desire perfection. All of us wanna be our own dream girl, Even the so-called 'dream girls' themselves strive for more. For humans, it's just never, enough. There's always a higher mountain, or so they say. It's crazy. Maybe it's called the personally-conjured vicious cycle of negative self-perception. Let's say it's all too human. Blame it on the atrocities of nature, or so we'd say. Gasping, grasping, grappling, grabbing. Ultimately struggling to keep afloat in this whirlpool. Absorbed in our selfish desires, Obsessed with instant gratification, and our never-ending list of wants. Which makes us really think; What on earth are we really living for? We are, but after all, pilgrims on a journey on this narrow road. But walking on this narrow road with much uncertainty ahead, It's hard to keep from straying from the path. Jesus, take the wheel. __________________________________________ |
